The hotel is located right by the beach, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful view and even go swimming and sunbathing. The location is also convenient, with a huge supermarket around the corner, making it easy for us to get any necessities we needed. The staff provided us with warm hospitality, always attentive and ready to help with our questions. We were impressed by the traditional and super clean ryokan-style rooms, which had comfortable amenities like Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and even an am/fm alarm clock. The dining experience was a feast for both our eyes and stomachs, with traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner that were a true delight. The hotel also had a small but amazing onsen that we thoroughly enjoyed, and there were bicycles available for free, enabling us to have an enjoyable outing around the shore. this hotel provided us with enhanced comfort and quality services, making it a great choice to explore the area.

Hard to think of anything.

During our stay at Shodoshima Seaside Hotel Matsukaze, we were amazed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. One particular team member, who spoke excellent English, ensured we felt welcome and went above and beyond to assist us. We were pleasantly surprised when they organized a last-minute port pick-up for us and also offered free shuttle services to the port throughout the day. Our spacious and traditional room facing the sea provided a unique experience, and we were treated to a delightful 7-course dinner in a beautifully designed traditional Japanese room. The onsen, although small, offered a relaxing experience. To top it all off, the hotel even presented us with a small parting gift. I highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and memorable experiences.

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. the room was comfortable, clean, and had a great view of the sea. the location was convenient, close to the beach and shopping area. the hotel offered free bikes and a shuttle service.

There was a curfew at midnight, which can be an inconvenience for those who want to explore the island and stay out late. the surrounding area was not very well-maintained and could use some improvement.

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with free pick up services from the ferry port and answering all our questions about transportation in this city. The hotel facilities were fantastic with a beautiful view from our clean and comfortable room. We also loved the free bicycle rental and nearby beach.

When I was in this hotel, I loved the fact that it was just in front of a lovely beach that made a perfect location to chill. it was very near the ferry port with free pick-up services, which meant that I didn't have to walk big distances with my luggage. I enjoyed my spacious and tidy room with a good bathroom that was always adequately supplied with hot/cold water and toiletries. the breakfast and dinner were among the best aspects of my stay with an impressive spread of tasty Japanese food. There were also good facilities in the hotel such as a free washing machine and a good public bath room along with excellent staff service.

While the hotel did provide shuttle services, I did wish that the frequency of the local bus was better, as mentioned in one of the reviews.

I spent my xmas in this hotel and there were some positive aspects to my stay. The food was quite good, with a variety of traditional Japanese dishes. I also liked that the hotel is located by the beach, which provided a nice view and was great for a stroll. the room was quite spacious with comfortable beds.

There were some downsides to my stay. Unfortunately, the hotel was quite dated and in need of renovation.
